ASKED QUESTIONS

  • I specialize in bold and clean neotraditional. I enjoy working in both colour and black/grey. Some general content I particularly enjoy are nature/woodland themes, cute/kawaii, dark/spooky, and pop culture (particularly Pokemon, Animal Crossing, and Studio Ghibli). I also enjoy tattooing American traditional.

  • I tattoo almost exclusively in my neotraditional style, which is showcased well on my Portfolio page. I also enjoy doing American Traditional. Anything outside of these styles is unlikely to be selected.

I do not tattoo realism (either black/grey or colour), watercolour, fine line or geometric pieces (this does not include small words or quotes, which I’m always happy to fit in when I have the time).

I am unlikely to take on rib, stomach or lower back projects due to a recurring wrist injury I have that often makes it painful for me to tattoo those spots.

I also will obviously not tattoo any hate symbols or hate speech.

    I will not tattoo genitals.

  • This completely depends on the piece and is decided on a case-by-case basis. If you have a piece that you would like covered or reworked, please go through the normal booking process when my books are open.

If a coverup/rework is selected after the booking process, it requires an in-person consult before I will commit to the piece.

  • No, ongoing work refers to individual projects that have been started by me but not finished (ie: a piece that is lined but not coloured in).

Patchwork sleeves (a collection of individual tattoos, done slowly over time) are booked as individual pieces. Each piece must go through the same booking process when my books open for new work.

True full sleeves (full skin coverage, usually one cohesive design/theme spanning the entire arm or leg) require much more planning and work on my part. As a result, I am very selective of the sleeves I take on, and will usually only take on one or two at a time so I can give them the dedication and attention they require to execute properly (the same principle applies to full backs).

  • I accept cash, debit, or credit.

NOTE: there is a 2.7% surcharge for all credit card transactions, and all forms of payment are plus tax.

  • I always say that tips are never expected, but always appreciated.

I also very much appreciate non-monetary tokens such as snacks, Pokemon cards, stickers, Diet Coke, cool rocks, or really any fun knick knacks! (I am a goblin at heart)

  • No, I do not tattoo people under the age of 18, even with parental consent.

ID may be required to book if we are unsure of whether you are 18 and over.

  • Out of an abundance of caution for you and your baby, I do not tattoo people who are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.

  • Every 3 months I open up my books to ongoing work (this means projects that I have already started that are half finished). After those sessions have been booked, I evaluate how many more openings I have during that 3 month window, and open my books to new work if possible.

This is announced ahead of time in both my Instagram and email newsletter.

Unfortunately it is not usually possible for me to take on all the submissions I get. I select pieces based on what I’m the most passionate about and what I think I’m best suited for. This allows me to stay creative and prevents me from burning out.

I also post last-minute cancellations in my Instagram stories. I specify what can be booked in these openings since it can vary: always flash, sometimes custom work, depending on my current workload.

  • Almost all of my work moving forward will be booked for either a half day (up to 3.5 hour appointment) or full-day (4 hour - 6 hour appointment).

    Half-Day Rates: $600-800 CAD

    Full-Day Rates $1000-1400 CAD

    Minimum: $200 for customs

    (all prices shown are +tx)

These ranges allow me to account for differences in complexity, placement, design time, and colour/black/grey, and will be quoted before a deposit is taken/appointment is booked.

I am a very fast and efficient tattooer. With the exception of full sleeves/backs, the vast majority of of pieces you’ll see in my portfolio or on my Instagram can be completed in one full-day session or less.

  • I work Tuesday-Friday, with full-day appointments scheduled for 11am and half day appointments scheduled for 12pm.

I will occasionally offer 10am appointments for flash or small custom pieces. These are completely dependent upon my current workload, and these openings will be posted in my Instagram stories.

  • Yes, I require a $100 deposit for all flash or half-day sits, and a $200 deposit for full-day sits.

Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE and can be paid via Interac e-transfer.

Appointment times and flash pieces will not be held until a deposit is received.

Deposits will be taken off the final session of your piece.

  • I require 48 hours notice to reschedule an appointment, but more notice is always better! Please contact me via email if you need to cancel or reschedule.

I allow one (1) reschedule with 48+ hours notice. Any further reschedules will result in a lost deposit, and will require either a new deposit or the entire balance of your tattoo up front in order to keep your design and any further appointments.

Reschedules with less than 48 hours notice will result in a forfeiture of your deposit, and will require another deposit to rebook.

In an effort to safeguard my time and mental health, chronic reschedules (3+) may result in the cancellation of your project and loss of all previous deposits paid, regardless of notice given.

Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances, and cancellations will result in the forfeiture of both your deposit and design.

  • I don’t send out drawings ahead of time because I’m usually drawing for appointments either the day before, or the morning of. My scheduling allows time for small changes to be made at the time of your appointment.

Please don’t give me full creative control over your design if you have specific requirements you need me to meet! Requirements are perfectly fine, I just need to know about them! Major changes to designs resulting from lack of communication on your end will result in a rescheduled appointment and a charge for drawing time, depending on the amount of changes required. I am always happy to work with your vision within the confines of my artistic style.

In the very rare event that we cannot come to an agreement with the design, you are not forced to get the tattoo. Your deposit will be kept to compensate me for my drawing time and you will be free to cancel and go elsewhere.

  • Stay hydrated and use moisturizer in the days leading up to your appointment (day-of: do not apply any products to the area you’re getting tattooed).

Make sure you get a good sleep and eat well beforehand (even if you usually skip breakfast).

Avoid alcohol, drugs, caffeine, and OTC pain meds (ie: Ibuprofen) for 24 hours before your appointment.

Wear comfortable clothing: depending on the area getting tattooed, wear something you won’t mind getting ink on!

Bring headphones, a book, or a video game! I need to wear headphones/earplugs while I work, so I’m not able to provide much in the way of entertainment/distraction! We have wifi available for our clients.

  • Tattoos suck, I get it. I use Bactine periodically throughout my tattoos which helps with stinging/swelling. If you’re going to use numbing cream, I ask that you contact me ahead of your appointment so I can advise you on a reputable kind to buy.

Using certain numbing creams can cause the skin to change consistency and may result in me being unable to tattoo you. This will result in a lost deposit and a reschedule.
